Pesh Patel is the founder of A Kidney Life. Pesh is a former hospitality executive with over three decades of hospitality and real estate experience. He utilised his deep knowledge of the industry along with relationships cultivated through the years for multiple projects in the US and internationally. On 3rd October 2023, Pesh launched A Kidney Life.
He was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) in 2017 and received a kidney transplant on 7th August 2018 after 15 months on haemodialysis. The foundation of A Kidney Life is a weekly newsletter aimed at raising awareness, education, and advocacy for those living with chronic kidney disease (CKD), pre- and post-organ transplant patients, mental health and promoting an overall healthy lifestyle for everyone. In addition to the newsletter, Pesh is also the host of the Talk Kidney to Me podcast. In addition to being an avid patient advocate and kidney coach, Pesh serves on the board of directors of the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana and is a member of multiple advisory boards and a peer mentor with the National Kidney Foundation. Pesh is also an ambassador for UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing), a volunteer for LOPA (Louisiana Organ Procurement Association) and a consultant for various pharmaceutical companies.
